Handmade Office Workstation

This home office desk and workstation was made to fit into the space provided. This was a large wall and the entire width of the room had to be filled so we created a long desk with shelves, cupboards and drawers.

Bedroom Wardrobe

This wardrobe was made as a replacement for an existing 1970’s fitted wardrobe and separate free standing bookcase. The clients wanted to have both the wardrobe and bookcase complete as one fitted unit.

Inside the wardrobe are a set of deep shelves to the left hand side with a push to open filing drawer at the bottom. A large shelf runs along the top of the wardrobe with a rail beneath for clothes. Handmade sycamore door knobs complete the doors, and open and close using soft close hinges.

The wardrobe and bookcase are made from British Sycamore and Birch ply. All parts have been finished in an acrylic water based lacquer.

Sewing Box

This piece was a joy to make. It was a replacement for a damaged family heirloom. A change in wood and various design tweaks helped not only to improve the durability and aesthetic of the piece, it also helped it to fit in to a more modern household.

The piece is predominantly made from British Beech and features Birch ply interiors and Sapele doors/ drawer knobs. The main internal area is lined with a soft rich coloured fabric. The construction of the framework is done using both sliding dovetails and mortice & tenons. Drawers are dovetailed and the lid features veneered panelling.

The piece is finished in Danish Oil and wax.

Kitchen Cupboards

The design of these kitchen cabinets are part of a fully designed kitchen. Due to the requirements of the client and the free standing nature of the units this kitchen is being made in stages and installed as separate pieces. These units comprise of a tall larder style cabinet with soft closing wire rack shelving at the bottom and specific item related shelving above, complete with double drawer and door unit and worktop. The worktops are made from Black American Walnut and finished in Danish Oil. The cabinetry is made from Tulipwood, with Birch ply for the panels and Sycamore for the drawers. The cabinets are hand painted with F&B water based eggshell.

This island unit is part of a full kitchen design but was commissioned first as a standalone piece. Each side of the island has been specifically designed to accommodate  the overall layout of the kitchen, allowing free flowing  movement around and between each appliance and cabinet.

Black American Walnut has been used for the worktop, shelves and knobs. Tulipwood has been used for the framework, doors and drawer fronts. Birch ply has been used internally and for panels with Sycamore being used for the drawers.

The island has been finished in Danish Oil and F&B water based eggshell.
